Innovation Fund
The DTC will maintain between £100K and £200K
within its overall research budget each year which is
unallocated at the start of the year - as an ‘innovation
fund’. The purpose of the innovation fund is to
allow relatively small amounts of funding (typically
about £20K) to be applied at short notice to highly
speculative research, which could be a precursor to a
follow-on piece of work if results are promising.
Awards
from the innovation fund are made at the discretion
of the DTC Technical Director.
Proposals for innovation fund projects
should be submitted to the DTC Office (see contacts page).
